My name is Christina Pink and I have the great pleasure of being Ladies Captain for 2024.
I joined RWGC in 2012 knowing just 2 or 3 other members but within a short space of time I had made new friends that enhanced and enriched my golf and social circle. The camaraderie within the club is tremendous - it is not just about coming and playing your round of golf it is the whole experience of being part of a warm and welcoming club.
Royal Winchester ladies section offers a very full competitive golfing diary. Weekly internal stableford and medal competitions, 24 ladies friendly matches visiting fabulous golf courses within Hampshire, Wiltshire, Surrey and Dorset. Social rollup groups and mixed golf matches along with family fun days and invitational events.
Whatever your golfing ability, there really is something for everyone at Royal Winchester Golf Club.
Social events, both on the golf course and in the clubhouse, are an important part of RWGC life. Captains Days, the Summer Ball, New Years Eve celebrations and themed evenings are the highlights of a busy social scene.
Our Ladies section is an integral part of Royal Winchester Golf Club. We are currently looking for new members who can either be experienced, complete beginners, or ladies returning to golf after time away.
Our chalk downland golf course is free-draining and open all year, with trolley use rarely restricted, whilst our recently refurbished Clubhouse provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere where members and guests can relax, socialise and enjoy great food.
For experienced golfers, we have a lot to offer and would love you to be a part of it! We play inter-club matches for both scratch and handicap trophies.
Competition days are Thursdays and Saturdays, with flexibility to play at any time, or within pre-booked tee allocations if preferred. We are a forward-looking club, demonstrated by us moving away from gender-orientated tees to ability based.
We have an academy for new members, run by Elliot Coates and his team in the Professional Shop. Details of this can be found here:
It is hoped that Academy ladies join the club as a full members provided they reach the required handicap index of 38. If this has not been achieved during their time in the Academy, then there is the option of a Graduate membership for a futher year, with additional support and coaching to reach the handicap requirements for full membership.

We are delighted to announce that England Golf and the R&A have awarded Royal Winchester Golf Club ‘Women In Golf Charter’ status, after we submitted a detailed document to them explaining our intentions to help grow female golf participation at our beautiful golf club.
We have made a wide range of exciting new commitments, and their combined effect will be to boost our female participation numbers, across all ages, over the next few years.
We are passionate about every one of those commitments.
